Hi, I’m Monica!

The face behind Happy Strumming guitar lessons, ukulele lessons, and music lessons.

Here are some fun facts about me:

I’ve been married for 30 years and have 3 children
I had :( a cat named Oscar, who we had to say goodbye to on February 9, 2024- you can see him on Instagram, @helloimoscar
I play a variety of string instruments - acoustic guitar, ukulele, banjo ukulele, electric bass guitar, mandolin, tin whistle, ocarina, mountain dulcimer
I play in a duet group called Strings + Things. In that group I play guitar, tin whistle, ocarina, mountain dulcimer, mandolin, along with a cajon drum and tambourine.
I play electric bass and ukulele in a ukulele band.
I practice yoga
I enjoy meditating
I enjoy running, taking long walks, and working out
